Angie Sage – Septimus Heap. Magyk.

Klappentext:
The Magyk begins here
Septimus Heap, the seventh son of the seventh son, disappears the night he is born, pronounced dead by the midwife. That same night, the baby’s fathers, Silas Heap, comes across an abandoned child in the snow – a newborn girl with violet eyes. The Heaps take her into their home, name her Jenna, and raise her as their own. But who is this mysterious baby girl, and what really happened to their beloved son Septimus?

Erste Meinung:

Erster Satz: “The Hunter listened instently for sounds rising up from the water, but all he heard was the silence that the blanketing of snow brings.”

Maggie Stiefvater – Shiver

Klappentext:
the cold
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf – her wolf – watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn’t know why.
the heat
Sam hast two lives. As a wolf, he kepps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace … until now.
the shiver
For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But once it’s spoken, it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human – and Grace must fight to keep him – even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the presendt, and the impossibility of the future.

Erste Meinung:

Erster Satz: I remember lying in the snow, a small red spot of warm going cold, surrounded by wolves.

Suzanne Collins – Catching Fire

Klappentext (laut Amazon):
After winning the brutal Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen returns to her district, hoping for a peaceful future. But Katniss starts to hear rumours of a deadly rebellion against the Capitol. A rebellion that she and Peeta have helped to create. As Katniss and Peeta are forced to visit the districts on the Capitol’s cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. Unless Katniss and Peeta can convince the world that they are still lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying. This is the terrifying sequel to “The Hunger Games”.

Erste Meinung:
Die Geschichte geht weiter und ich bin schon sehr gespannt, was sich dieses grausame Regime nun wieder einfallen lässt um Katniss zu schädigen. Weiterhin bin ich gespannt wie es mit Katniss und Peeta bzw. Gale weitergeht.

Erster Satz: “I clasp the flask between my hands even though the warmth from the tea has long since leached into the frozen air.”
